This is just as important as the settling in phase and can impact compliance risk, costs and assignee experience.

Our service is designed to help you and your assignees meet your obligations at the close of a tenancy, as swiftly and cost-effectively as possible. We also guide families through any host country exit requirements before departing. This makes the departure as easy and stress-free as possible.We manage all aspects of ending the assignee’s services relating to their home, schools, and local authorities.

It includes

• Departure briefing—a virtual session (video call) with the assignee to discuss what needs to be done prior to departing the country
• Closing of the rental contract, coordination of deposit recovery
• Reporting any damages and coordination of repairs and claims (location-specific)
• Arrangement of professional cleaning (recharged at cost)
• Property check-out (clerk fee recharged at cost if applicable)
• Coordination of deposit recovery (request for the deposit return—in the lease closing letter or check-out report)
• Cancelling utility & broadband contracts where applicable
• Assistance with the closing of bank account
• Assistance with the closing of liability insurances
• Setting up postal forwarding

 

Included in the departure briefing: pre-check out information—who is responsible for the repairs, cleaning; Information on the local de-registration requirements e.g. address, vehicles, social benefits; Information on utility, mobile phone and broadband contracts termination; Information on bank account and insurance closures; Information exchange on other services e. g. packing and storage of household goods, furniture rental, temporary accommodation and more.
